Brother’s Bond & WhistlePig’s New Farm-to-Bottle Whiskeys— A Match Made in American Farms

STATESVILLE, N.C. and SHOREHAM, Vt. — Industry leaders and farm-to-bottle whiskey pioneers Brother’s Bond Bourbon and WhistlePig Whiskey are bonding over a commitment to sustainable craftsmanship as both brands announce the release of their limited edition, farm-based expressions.

With the launch of Brother’s Bond® Regenerative Grain Straight Bourbon Whiskey and WhistlePig’s annual release of FarmStock Beyond Bonded Rye Whiskey, the brands showcase grain-to-glass sustainability and support America’s farmers. A portion of bottle sales will support the regenerative agriculture coalition, Regenerate America™, which is stewarded by Kiss the Ground, a non-profit promoting regeneration and healthy soil as a viable solution for our wellness, water, and climate crisis. Regenerative agriculture ensures quality whiskey for generations to come.

When the Brother’s Bond team met one of WhistlePig’s farm pigs on the streets of Los Angeles, it was bond at first sight. “The encounter led to a meeting of the minds on sustainable farm-to-bottle whiskey,” said Meghan Ireland, Chief Blender at WhistlePig. “It’s unusual for whiskey competitors to convene over our secret sauce, but for the chance to pave the way for the industry in responsible farming? We were all about it. We’re beyond excited to team up with Brother’s Bond this harvest season to bring sustainability to your home bar.”

“Our goal is to create a movement for sustainable change within the spirits industry. Together with WhistlePig, we share a commitment to sustainable craftsmanship and invite other brands who have this same mission to join in the efforts to protect our planet,” said Ian Somerhalder, co-founder of Brother’s Bond Bourbon.

BROTHER’S BOND REGENERATIVE GRAIN STRAIGHT BOURBON

Since launching in 2021, Brother’s Bond, founded by actors and real-life friends Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, has shown a continued commitment to sustainability with a portion of proceeds from every bottle sold being donated to Kiss the Ground. Three years later, the Regenerative Grain Straight Bourbon Whiskey (95 Proof)—made with grain from North Carolina, distilled and aged at Southern Distilling Company, and hand-selected by Ian and Paul—is the culmination of this commitment. By embracing the use of regenerative grain, Brother’s Bond is leading the way to a more sustainable and environmentally-conscious industry, while delivering a superior product that reflects the land and its stewardship. Brother’s Bond crafted this four-grain straight bourbon whiskey from American regenerative grain grown within 20 miles of Southern Distilling Company’s Statesville distillery.

“Regenerative agriculture, a holistic farming approach that builds the health of the soil, is at the heart of this newest expression. By focusing on regenerative agriculture practices, we not only improve the health of the land but also enhance the rich, complex flavors of our bourbon,” shared Somerhalder. “From the very beginning, Brother’s Bond has gone beyond crafting the best whiskey. We are committed to caring for the environment, our local farmers, and ensuring the legacy of quality bourbon for generations to come.”

Regenerative Grain Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a blend of nuanced three-year-old bourbon and a distinct six-year-old wheated bourbon, meticulously aged and crafted using custom toast and char methods, creating an unparalleled tasting experience. With a velvety, rich campfire warmth and an aroma full of caramel sweetness and toasted oak, the newest expression has already won acclaim, receiving Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC).

WHISTLEPIG FARMSTOCK BEYOND BONDED RYE WHISKEY

WhistlePig began when a ragged band of Rye enthusiasts dared to set forth beyond the bounds of past or possibility. In pursuit of independence, innovation - and ingredients - they landed upon an abandoned dairy barn in the heart of Vermont farm country. The 500-acre farm is now home to WhistlePig’s grain-to-glass distillery, with sustainable whiskey-making practices at the forefront of each whiskey harvest.

WhistlePig is a steward of the Vermont land with Fall-seeded Rye grain that reduces runoff and protects local water quality, 100% of distillery waste converted to renewable energy for local Vermont businesses and homes, 100% of water sustainably sourced from the Farm well, all at a 100% solar-powered operation.

Released ahead of the annual harvest each year, WhistlePig FarmStock Beyond Bonded Rye Whiskey is a Straight Rye 100% Farm Whiskey that is bottled-in-bond and beyond. Each barrel is harvested and distilled at the WhistlePig Farm & Distillery in one season, and bottled as a Single Barrel at 100 proof, with 30 unique points per barrel showcasing every step of the whiskey’s farm-to-bottle journey.

“We’ve always been proud of our Vermont roots, and the annual limited release of FarmStock Beyond Bonded is our chance to experiment with what our farm and team are capable of,” said Ireland. “This year, we’re going beyond not only with our whiskey release but with our sustainable farming. We’re adopting regenerative farming practices to improve soil health, reduce erosion, and support Vermont’s bee diversity. It’s our pursuit to cultivate with care for the land, the industry, and of course our pigs.”

Joining together in this shared commitment, Brother’s Bond Regenerative Grain Bourbon and WhistlePig FarmStock Beyond Bonded Rye are available for purchase as an online bundle at shop.whistlepigwhiskey.com/pages/regenerate-america/ for $189.99 with a portion of the bundle sales being donated to Regenerate America.  In addition to receiving the two new farm-to-bottle releases, the bundle also includes an eco-friendly Regenerate America™ hat.

Brother’s Bond Bourbon Regenerative Grain Bourbon can also be purchased separately at brothersbondbourbon.com and from retailers across the county for $59.99 MSRP. WhistlePig FarmStock Beyond Bonded Rye is available at shop.whistlepigwhiskey.com for $109.99 MSRP.
