LOS ANGELES, CA (September 19, 2024) - After completing a rigorous testing regimen, Not a Celebrity Tequila has received additive-free certification under the Additive Free Alliance. Not A Celebrity Tequila turned heads when it launched on May 1, 2024, shining the spotlight on the essence of traditional tequila craftsmanship by using “only agave, water and time,” while slyly calling into question the implied quality of celebrity-endorsed spirits. As the celebrity spirits category continues to increase, with it comes growing consumer fatigue. Recognizing this, in only four months, Not A Celebrity Tequila has expanded its distribution network and can be found online and at retailers, bars and restaurants in New York, Massachusetts and Georgia, with additional markets debuting soon.

Developed in Los Altos, Mexico at the Galindo distillery, this premium tequila reflects the dedication to quality and authenticity at the heart of the long lineage of agaveros and tequileros in the Galindo family. Taking pride in the team’s commitment to transparency, Not A Celebrity Tequila ensures that every aspect of the production process upholds the highest standards of quality and honesty. At the heart and soul of Not A Celebrity Tequila is a commitment to transparency, with each sip meticulously crafted without additives, ensuring the authentic taste of cooked agave in its truest form. To achieve the voluntary certification from the Additive Free Alliance, all tequila bottlings undergo a two-pronged vetting process. All product is purchased directly from retailers and is first subject to sensorial evaluation, wherein products with obviously unnatural flavor profiles are eliminated, and then submitted for laboratory testing at a third party, ISO 17025 accredited facility to detect sweeteners, glycerol, vanillin, and other common additives.
