The company is currently raising $1M on the Republic platform, empowering individuals to become owners of bardelia and shape the future of the non-alcoholic beverage industry

NEW YORK, NY – October 19, 2024 – Barrie Arnold, Co-Founder of the pioneering non-alcoholic beverage retailer Boisson, announced the launch of bardelia, a new company dedicated to revolutionizing the way people enjoy non-alcoholic drinks. This launch was first covered by Forbes.

Nearly half of America is looking to reduce their alcohol consumption, and bardelia is building a business around the movement to redefine what and how we drink when we socialize and unwind. With Arnold’s deep understanding of the industry as well as the ability to leverage strong connections with its players, bardelia is poised to become a leading force in the rapidly growing non-alcoholic beverage market.

Arnold brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to bardelia, having played a pivotal role in establishing Boisson as a leader in the non-alcoholic beverage industry. With bardelia, he is committed to building a sustainable and customer-centric business that delivers exceptional products and experiences

“Building community and creating spaces where like-minded folks can shop for their favorite brands is extremely important to me,” Arnold said. “Whether our customers are on our website chatting with Sam the Sip Advisor–a first-in-industry AI tool–or in one of our future stores being led around by a knowledgeable guide, the experience should feel familiar and welcoming. From the ground up, we are building a company that you will want to share with your friends; from our industry-best rewards and referral program to the widest product selection possible.”

Joining Arnold in this venture is his partner, Alexa Parmisano. Her passion for fitness and wellness, coupled with Arnold’s industry expertise, has fueled their shared vision for bardelia.

“We live in New York City where we first met. My passion for fitness and wellness meant a growing emphasis on healthier living in our home. Barrie’s experience in healthcare administration and being a leader in the non-alcoholic industry led to us wanting to share these products with more and more people,” Parmisano said. “bardelia’s name’s origin means new beginnings and possibilities, perfectly capturing the essence of our joint focus.”

bardelia believes that this industry belongs to the people, particularly those who stock their fridge with non-alcoholic options, not alcohol distributors and investment funds. Therefore, the company is currently raising $1,000,000 on the Republic platform, empowering individuals to become owners of bardelia and shape the future of the non-alcoholic beverage industry. Investment levels begin as low as $250. The raise can be found on Republic's website and will close on October 25, 2024.

“This industry belongs to the people, particularly those who stock their fridge with non-alcoholic options,” said Arnold. “By inviting customers to invest, we are building our company focused on growing communities and creating spaces for like-minded folks from the ground up.”

bardelia has already secured strategic partnerships with leading wellness and lifestyle brands, including sober-forward dating app Club Pillar, mindful drinking app Sunnyside, creator platform ShopMy, and publication The Sober Curator. Additional partnerships are in the works.

Co-Founder Bios

Barrie Arnold was born and raised in Pensacola, FL where he never met a stranger and learned the art of community building. He attended Florida State University where he studied business management. Immediately afterwards, he attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he was awarded a masters degree in healthcare administration as well as an MBA. Barrie co-founded Boisson in 2021 and exited in early 2023. He enjoys traveling, sailing, watching college football, flying his drone, and connecting with new people. You can typically find him at his home office, returning emails and downing a non-alcoholic beer late into the night after a Hudson River stroll with Alexa.

Alexa Parmisano is a Bay Area native with a passion for data, movement, and urban living. With an undergraduate degree from UCLA as a strong foundation, she deepened her business acumen and analytical skills with a MBA from the University of San Francisco. A lifelong dancer and athlete, Alexa's love of fitness evolved into a part-time teaching career, starting with barre in 2015 and expanding to cycling and boxing. Balancing her career at Google in New York City with her active lifestyle, she enjoys exploring the city with Barrie and finding new and creative ways to build and connect with their ever-growing community of friends.
