Cincinnati, OH, October 23, 2024 – See the Elephant Amaro, the award-winning Italian amaro made from arugula, is proud to announce a new distribution partnership with Heidelberg Distributing. This collaboration will bring See the Elephant’s unique, delicious, handcrafted amaro to a wider audience of discerning drinkers throughout Ohio and Kentucky.

“I am thrilled to have See the Elehant Amaro partner with Heidelberg Distributing in Ohio and Kentucky.  This partnership will ensure amari drinkers can more easily find the unique and interesting flavors from See the Elephant.” says Kyle Harder, founder of See the Elephant.  “Their extensive reach to bars, restaurants and liquor stores along with their professionalism and quality brands make them the ideal partner to help See the Elephant establish a strong presence in these key markets.” Additionally, See the Elephant’s brand was designed by Cody Gunningham, who’s artwork is on murals across southern Ohio and Cody now resides in Kentucky, which is a nice local connection.

See the Elephant Amaro is a rucola style amaro made in southern Italy, which is where they grow most of the lettuce in Italy and also why See the Elephant’s main ingredient is arugula.  In addition to arugula there are some other herbs and spices that give See the Elephant a unique taste of root beer, caramel, bubble gum and finishes with a clean pepper spice.  Its versatility makes it ideal for sipping neat, enjoying on the rocks, or mixing into cocktails such as the Black Manhattan.

“Heidelberg is thrilled to announce the partnership with See the Elephant Amaro, which has such a unique taste profile and unique ingredients, like arugula.  We are excited to add this new age amaro to our portfolio” says Joshua Mulberry, VP of High Proof Spirits at Heidelberg Distributing.

See the Elephant Amaro is sold in 750ml bottles at 30% ABV.  See the Elephant is distributed in 13 states and available for shipping through the brand website.  The website also offers more information on the brand.  See the Elephant Amaro is now available in restaurants, bars, and retailers throughout Ohio and Kentucky.

The partnership between See the Elephant Amaro and Heidelberg Distributing is a testament to the growing popularity and demand for amaro. As consumers continue to explore and appreciate the complexity and depth of the amaro category, See the Elephant is poised to provide a drinking experience that stays true to Italian amaro but also expands the drinking experience.

See the Elephant Amaro's expansion into Ohio and Kentucky with Heidelberg Distributing will not only strengthen the brand's presence but also contribute to the overall growth of the amaro category. This partnership will offer consumers in these markets’ greater accessibility to premium amari, allowing them to elevate their drinking experiences and discover new depths of flavor.

About See the Elephant Amaro:

See the Elephant is a rucola style amaro, made from arugula on the Cilento coast of southern Italy. See the Elephant uses unique ingredients to show with each sip that getting off the beaten path is where real adventure lives.  See the Elephant means to go out and experience life firsthand.  Made from a generations old recipe, bottled at 30% ABV or 60 proof, the taste profile is a bittersweet full-bodied botanical with vanilla and caramel sweetness growing into an aromatic finish following the trajectory of a night well spent and a life well lived. Drink now & command a common joy.
