Glengoyne Whisky - the multi-award-winning Highland Single Malt known for its quality and signature slow distillation process – introduces the highly anticipated White Oak range, the debut releases from the newly launched Oak Masters’ Series. This exclusive collection includes the Glengoyne White Oak, now a permanent addition to the core range, and the extremely rare, limited-edition White Oak 24-Year-Old, now available in the U.S.
The White Oak Range marks a bold evolution for Glengoyne, broadening its taste profile beyond its traditionally sherry-forward style. Fully matured in American Ex- Bourbon and Virgin Oak casks, this series introduces a fresh dimension to Glengoyne’s renowned craftsmanship. Crafted from premium North American oak, these first editions in the series highlight the bright, golden character of American wood while staying true to Glengoyne’s unmistakable house style.
As the inaugural release from the Oak Masters’ Series, the White Oak Range sets the stage for a global journey in oak exploration. This series will continue to source exceptional Virgin oak casks from around the world, each chosen to mature further Glengoyne’s aged single malt and complement the distinctive flavors whisky lovers know and cherish. It’s a celebration of oak mastery, with the White Oak Range as the first chapter in this rare and collectible collection.
This new range draws its inspiration from North America, the summer home of the geese that grace the snow-capped hill behind Glengoyne Distillery each winter. Their 3,000-mile migration across the Atlantic inspired the White Oak Series, a celebration of Quercus Alba (American Oak). Glengoyne, or “valley of the geese” so named for the geese that make the area home, embraces patience, taking time at every step to create a spirit rich in character and complexity.
“As part of our new Oak Masters' Series, we are releasing two exceptional Glengoyne whiskies, fully matured exclusively in American White Oak, including a remarkable limited 24-year-old,” says Gordon Dundas, Brand Advocacy Director. “With this new range, we are expanding our core offerings and broadening the taste profile, while staying true to the character that has made Glengoyne celebrated since 1833. Where the traditional range is characterized as sherry-forward, this White Oak range delivers a light and golden flavour profile, with a single malt that is distinctly lighter in natural colour. This is an exceptional range for both long-time fans and new whisky enthusiasts.”
The Glengoyne White Oak (SRP $59.99, 47.8% ABV) joins Glengoyne’s core expression range, capturing the distillery’s signature character that fans will instantly recognize. This exciting addition has already earned two gold medals—from the International Spirits Competition 2024 and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2024—a true testament to the quality and appeal of its new flavor profile.
Tasting Notes include:
- Nose: Vibrant oak, bright citrus, sponge cake, crisp red apple, ginger spice, and a hint of violet.
- Palate: Soft and playful, with crème brûlée, fruit gum sweets, candied lemon, jam tarts, and tinned pineapple.

The Glengoyne White Oak 24-Year-Old (SRP $399.99, 47.8% ABV) is aged exclusively in American oak and Virgin oak casks, resulting in a rich depth of flavor and a naturally golden hue. As a limited release, once it’s gone, it’s gone—making this an exclusive opportunity to experience this rare whisky.
Tasting Notes include:
- Nose: Vanilla, toasted oak, lemon curd, honey, plum jam, coconut, spiced apple pastry, and lime zest.
- Palate: Bright lemon, key lime pie, honeycomb, tropical notes, star anise, chocolate, and vanilla.
- Finish: Toffee apple, citrus, and lingering oak.
“Our commitment to the highest quality wood shows in every expression from Glengoyne, and the White Oak Series is a celebration of just that,” added John Glass, Glengoyne’s Master Blender. “I love the balance between the distillery character and the vanilla, coconut, and spice from the bourbon casks. I’ve been eager to create expressions that showcase this style.”
Both the Glengoyne White Oak and the limited-edition Glengoyne White Oak 24 Year Old as part of the White Oak series are available through Total Wine & More, and other specialist whisky retailers in the U.S.
