Spirit Hound Distillers Reaches Statewide Distribution in Missouri

Strategic partnerships with Central States Beverage Company, Heart of America Beverage Company, and KEG 1 Missouri bring Spirit Hound  to statewide distribution 

Spirit Hound Distillers, an award-winning Colorado-based distillery, just confirmed statewide distribution in Missouri through expanded partnerships with the state’s top beverage distributors. The distillery’s spirits lineup, including American Single Malt Whisky, Bourbon, Coffee Liqueuer, Vodka and Gin, is now available in western Missouri throughout the Kansas City area thanks to a partnership with Central States Beverage Company; in Springfield and Southwest Missouri with Heart of America Beverage Company; and in the Greater St. Louis area with KEG 1 Missouri. 

Through these partnerships, Missourians can now enjoy Spirit Hound’s handcrafted spirits, including:

Spirit Hound is best known for its American Single Malt Whisky—crafted from locally grown and malted barley and pure Rocky Mountain snowmelt. Aged for a minimum of two years in full-size, new charred American Oak barrels, each whisky is bottled from a single barrel, showcasing the unique characteristics of every batch. 

While the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) officially recognized American Single Malt Whisky as a spirits category in 2024, Spirit Hound has been at the forefront of crafting this distinct style since 2012.

“I have a deep appreciation for the single malt tradition that’s rooted in Scottish distilling practices, and with this new definition, spirits customers will know what to look for on the shelf to find the highest quality drinking experience,” said Spirit Hound’s Master Distiller Craig Englehorn. “Inspired by that tradition, we craft with 100% local malt and distill, age and bottle our own spirits. We even follow the Scottish tradition of calling it ‘whisky’ without the ‘e.’ We’ve been proudly upholding the highest standards since 2012.”

Spirit Hound’s commitment to excellence has earned notable accolades, including a gold medal at the 2024 London Spirits Awards for its Colorado Honey Aged American Single Malt Whisky, made with locally sourced honey from Bee Squared Apiaries in Lyons, Colo.
