Louisville, KY – April 16, 2025 – Rolling Fork Spirits, the Indiana-based producer of award-winning spirits, is releasing a new small-batch blend of rye whiskey blended with rum for a third batch of Fortuitous Union. As with previous batches, the name refers to the fortuitous and flavorful blending of rye whiskey and rum.
“We’ve been excited about this one for a while now,” said Rolling Fork Spirits co-founder Turner Wathen. “The combination of three-year-old rum distilled in Barbados and the rich flavors that the rye whiskey brings to the party makes this one of our most exciting releases.”
Rolling Fork Spirits sourced a three-year-old rum distilled in Barbados and five-year-old rye whiskey distilled in Lawrenceburg, Ind. The rum and rye whiskey were blended together then filled into hand selected bourbon casks to allow the blend to mature and balance for over two years.
“We love the flavor profiles that developed in this rye and rum blend after it matured in the bourbon casks,” said Rolling Fork Spirits co-founder Jordan Morris. “There’s a complex mix of light tropical fruit, and orange peel that meshes with cedar, black currant, and toasted oak from the rye whiskey. At a batch proof of 103 and bottled without chill filtration – it’s a unique spirit experience.”
With only 1,200 bottles of this third batch of Fortuitous Union, it has an MSRP of $55 and is available online and in select markets.
