Riboli Family Wines Announces Expanded Relationship with Breakthru Beverage Group in California

LOS ANGELES, May 8, 2025 –Riboli Family Wines, owners of the iconic San Antonio Winery since 1917, today announced an expanded relationship with Breakthru Beverage Group for their distribution across California. This landmark decision transitions the company's California operations from a supplier-distributor model to a supplier-only focus, marking a significant evolution in the company's 108-year history.

"As stewards of a multi-generational family business, our primary responsibility is to ensure Riboli Family Wines continue to thrive for future generations," said Steve Riboli, President and 3rd Generation Family Owner. "This partnership with Breakthru Beverage Group—another family-led organization that shares our values and vision—positions us to adapt to California's evolving market while honoring our heritage."

The cultural alignment between the two organizations represents a pivotal factor in this decision. "After extensive evaluation, we found in Breakthru a distribution partner whose corporate values and family-oriented culture mirror our own," noted Riboli. "This cultural compatibility was essential to ensuring a smooth transition for our team members and the continued excellence our customers expect."

The transition will take place over the next 30-60 days. During this period, the Riboli Family is committed to supporting its California sales team members through the change, with Breakthru actively folding in team members from Riboli's extensive California operations. "We recognize the profound impact our team members have had on building our success and culture," said Paul Roberts, SVP Sales. "This expanded relationship with Breakthru creates exceptional growth and development opportunities for our talented staff within a larger organization while preserving the family-focused environment they value."

This strategic realignment comes in response to shifting industry trends and consumer preferences in California. With deep roots in the California market, Riboli Family Wines sought a partner who could help create new opportunities for employee growth and career advancement while maintaining the quality and service standards established over generations.
