LOS ANGELES (May 12, 2025) – Madre Ensamble adds to its recent success, earning Double Gold recognition at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC). This is the second consecutive spirits award where Madre Ensamble has been recognized as a top mezcal, following the 2025 Tequila and Mezcal Spirits Masters, where it was awarded the Mezcal Taste Master Award, ranking it as the #1 mezcal among all 129 products entered into the competition.
In addition to the success of Madre Ensamble, Madre’s newest expression, Madre Tequila was also awarded its second Gold medal this year, scoring a 94 points from the SFWSC judging panel.

2025 is the first year that Madre entered any products into the San Francisco Spirits Competition or The Spirit Business’ Tequila and Mezcal Masters.
Madre Ensamble is a 45% ABV mezcal made with a blend of Cuishe and Espadin agave.Madre Tequila is a 48% ABV tequila blanco made with 100% Blue Weber agave.
