NEW YORK, NY | For the first time in its illustrious 200-year history, Fettercairn Single Malt Scotch Whisky – Scotland’s hidden gem of the Highlands, renowned for its unique tropical house style – makes its long-awaited debut in the United States. With a legacy defined by innovation, Fettercairn releases the first collection of prestige Single Malt Scotches: a range of five highly allocated expressions aged between 24 and 50 years. Regarding this pivotal moment, Anice Kim-Saunders, Vice President of Marketing for Fettercairn in North America, reflects: “Fettercairn has always been for those with an open mind and who embrace curiosity.” She continues, “As whisky drinkers explore new and exciting expressions, we invite both seasoned collectors and curious imbibers to experience a Taste of Imagination – whiskies that are vibrant, refined, and unlike anything they’ve experienced before. The wait is over – your Fettercairn journey in the U.S. begins now.”
For two centuries, Fettercairn has pushed the boundaries of whisky making, blending tradition with a vision of the future. Nestled in the foothills of Scotland’s Cairngorm Mountains, Fettercairn draws on its rich, natural surroundings where crystal-clear mountain water and fertile land come together to shape the whisky’s distinctive character. From the distillery’s beautiful copper cooling ring – a revolutionary technique that enhances purity and flavor – to the masterful aging process, every sip tells a story.
“At Fettercairn we always strive to explore what is possible within single malt Scotch whisky," said Stewart Walker, Distillery Manager who has dedicated 35 years to the craft at Fettercairn. "Our copper cooling ring is a prime example – a technique that transformed our whisky, creating a spirit that’s fresh, vibrant, and unmistakably Fettercairn.” This innovative technique involves drenching the stills with cool mountain water, rapidly cooling the copper allowing only the lightest vapors to rise. The result is a unique tropical style defined by signature notes of exotic fruit, caramelized spice, and refined oak.
Fettercairn’s long anticipated arrival in the United States comes with an exclusive, highly allocated release available at select luxury retail and high-end dining venues in key markets, including CA, FL, NJ, NY, & TX. This rare collection features five exceptional aged expressions, each embodying the distinctive character that makes Fettercairn unique and beloved by whisky connoisseurs. The collection unfolds with the Fettercairn 24-Year-Old (SRP $650; natural color and non-chill filtered) and Fettercairn 28-Year-Old (SRP $1,250) - each offered in a limited U.S. release of just 500 bottles - and ascends to the Fettercairn 40-Year-Old (SRP $6,000; natural color and non-chill filtered), Fettercairn 46-Year-Old (SRP $19,000; natural color and non-chill filtered), and Fettercairn 50-Year-Old (SRP $37,000; natural color and non-chill filtered) - with a U.S. allocation limited to only 35 bottles, ensuring their place among the most coveted releases of the year.
