The award-winning brand known for supporting Veterans with PTSD expands its additive-free portfolio


NEW YORK, July 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Cape Horn Tequila, the brand forged at sea by a Navy Veteran to help combat fellow Veterans with PTSD, is proud to announce a new Añejo Tequila expression. The recent 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition award-winning Cape Horn Tequila collection now offers a Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo, all available online.


"We launched Cape Horn Tequila with one mission: to support the Veterans who come home from service and continue fighting battles no one else can see," said Taylor Grieger, founder of Cape Horn Tequila and Skeleton Crew Adventures. "The Añejo is the next chapter in our story. Crafted with care, aged with intention, and rooted in the mission to help our heroes heal. We're proud to share it with the world."


At 40% ABV, the Cape Horn Tequila Añejo is aged for 18 months and crafted from 100% Blue Weber Agave with zero additives. The rich, complex flavor profile has notes of dark chocolate, dried fruits, and warm spices. Distilled in small batches and tested by those who know what grit really tastes like, every bottle tells a story of courage, perseverance, and helps fund their mission.


Founded by Taylor Grieger, a Navy Veteran who struggled mightily with PTSD, launched the brand from a sailboat. After serving as a Navy rescue swimmer, Taylor set out to round Cape Horn—the most dangerous passage on Earth—not for glory, but to raise awareness for the silent battles Veterans and first responders face with PTSD. What started as a mission to survive the roughest waters on Earth became something bigger: a movement to heal through adventure. That journey became the heartbeat of this brand.


Taylor's story was so impactful, it was documented in the film Hell or High Seas. Beyond the film, Taylor and Cape Horn Tequila have one true mission in mind: to end Veteran suicide. With that goal, Cape Horn Tequila has founded the Skeleton Crew Adventures, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping veterans and first responders overcome PTSD through adventure therapy programs.
