Denver, CO – Sept. 9, 2025 – Colorado’s hemp and cannabis beverage leaders are uniting to help shape a future where 5mg and 10mg THC drinks are available in bars, restaurants, and venues across the state. Vicente LLP recently announced the launch of the Colorado Hemp Beverage Coalition, a first-of-its-kind alliance working to modernize the state’s hemp beverage laws and set a national model for responsible regulation.
Founding members include Wana Brands, Cycling Frog, Keef, Brez, Fable, Sleeping Giant Brewing, Vertosa, and Vicente LLP. Together, they are advocating for safe, compliant access to low-dose THC beverages in retail stores, bars, and restaurants.
“Colorado has always been at the forefront of cannabis innovation,” said Brian Vicente, Founding Partner at Vicente LLP. “Hemp-derived beverages are the next big category, and this coalition is ensuring the rules keep pace with consumer demand.”
The coalition has already hosted multiple policy briefings with lawmakers, regulators, and industry leaders, including Colorado State Senator Julie Gonzales. Its next major event, the Hemp Beverage Policy & Industry Forum, will take place Sept. 30 in Denver, bringing together policymakers and entrepreneurs to discuss the evolving THC beverage landscape.
With THC drinks gaining popularity as a non-alcoholic, health-conscious alternative, the coalition is pushing for legislation to expand access, standardize labeling, and support safe on-premise consumption. The Coalition is also building a one-year legislative roadmap to modernize state law and create revenue-generating, consumer-safe opportunities for the hemp beverage industry.
The Colorado Hemp Beverage Coalition is open to new members across cannabis, hemp, beverage, and hospitality. If your company is interested in advancing hemp-derived THC beverage policy, now is the time to get involved.
