HOUSTON (September 24, 2025) - Yellow Rose Distilling, Houston’s first legal whiskey distillery, has introduced a new limited-edition blended bourbon whiskey, Yellow Rose Kerr County, with all proceeds earmarked to benefit recovery efforts in Kerr County, Texas, and the other nearby communities impacted by the area’s July 4 flash floods.
“After the catastrophic floods in our home state of Texas, we knew right away that the next release in our Yellow Rose Craft County Series had to be Kerr County,” said Toni Hardisty, Yellow Rose’s new master blender and one of the few female whiskey makers in Texas. “We set out not only to craft an exceptional blended whiskey, but also to honor and support our friends and neighbors in the Hill Country by raising critical funds for relief. More than two months have passed since the devastating floods, yet the need remains great as this community works to rebuild and recover from such unimaginable hardship.”
All of the proceeds from the sale of Yellow Rose Kerr County Whiskey will be donated to the Texas Flood Relief Fund, administered by a consortium of a dozen local Texas TV stations.
Yellow Rose Kery County Blended Whiskey joins Yellow Rose Harris County (Houston) Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Yellow Rose Travis County (Austin) Blended Whiskey in the brand’s growing Craft County Series, which pays tribute to vibrant regions of Texas with unique whiskey expressions crafted from home grown grains. In addition to other new releases soon in the Craft County Series, the award-winning Yellow Rose portfolio also includes the popular Yellow Rose Outlaw Bourbon Whiskey, Yellow Rose Premium American Whiskey, and Yellow Rose Rye Whiskey.
The new Kerr County Whiskey is a unique proprietary blend of 100% sweet Texas corn whiskey, and a traditional aged bourbon mash bill of corn, rye, and malted barley aged in used bourbon barrels. It opens with rich aromas of brown sugar and cinnamon, followed by layers of graham cracker, salted caramel, and warm spice on the palate. The finish is smooth and lingering, with notes of toffee and candied pecan.
Finished at 86 proof (43% alcohol by volume), Yellow Rose Kerr County will be available at fine wine and spirits retailers across Texas for the suggested retail price of $39.99.
