Historic brewery's arrival marks major milestone for Mid-Michigan's beer scene
Grand Blanc Township, Mich. — John P. O'Sullivan Distributing Inc., one of Michigan's premier beer distributors, is thrilled to announce the launch of America's Oldest Brewery, Yuengling, in mid-Michigan.
Beginning Monday, Nov. 10, beer enthusiasts across mid-Michigan will have the opportunity to enjoy a selection of Yuengling's celebrated draft beers. Yuengling is currently in its sixth generation of family ownership, while John P. O'Sullivan Distributing Inc. proudly operates as a second-generation family-owned and operated beer business.
John P. O'Sullivan Distributing Inc. is proud to introduce these iconic brews to the mid-Michigan audience. Yuengling, established in 1829, has a rich heritage of brewing excellence, and its arrival in mid-Michigan marks a significant milestone for both the brewery and local beer lovers.
"We are excited to partner with Yuengling and bring their authentic American beers to mid-Michigan," said Joanie O'Sullivan-Butler, President and Chief Executive Officer of John P. O'Sullivan Distributing Inc. "This launch is the most exciting beer launch in our company's history! What a fantastic opportunity for us to expand our offerings and introduce our customers to a brewery with such a storied history, one that beer lovers have been waiting for."
Yuengling's diverse lineup includes its flagship Yuengling Lager, the smooth Yuengling Black & Tan, and the refreshing Yuengling Flight, the next generation of light beer clocking in at 4.2% ABV, 95 calories and 2.6 carbs. These selections are perfect for any occasion, whether it's a casual gathering or a celebration with friends.
Initially, the launch was limited to Ann Arbor, East Lansing and Detroit markets. Now, based on the success of the beers in those markets, the brewery is expanding to the rest of the lower Peninsula.
We encourage all beer lovers to ask their local bars and restaurants when they will start carrying Yuengling and if they will be participating in any launch party activities starting Monday, Nov. 10. Packaged beer is scheduled to be released in early 2026.
