Everett, WA. James Bay Distillers announced today that the company has launched a new integrated nationwide direct-to-consumer distribution for their whiskies, gins and vodkas. Their fully compliant sales site makes available a curated list of eight of their most popular spirits.
Featured spirits include the following:
- Everett Liquor Co. branded single-cask bourbon, named "Best in Class" and earning a 94-point gold medal at the California craft distillers competition, and also described as a "damn fine bourbon" by the Barleycorn competition in Texas.
- James Bay Navy Gin, twice rated "dangerously smooth" by judges, and which presents elderflower, vanilla and lemon notes, the favorite flavor combination of the late Queen of England.
- Summer Gin No. 5, rated by Wine Enthusiast as "1 of top 12" gins in the U.S., and which Sunset Magazine described as "summer in a glass." This citrus-forward gin boasts orange blossom, kumquat, mandarin, tangerine and orange zest notes.
- Inner Harbour Scotch Whisky, rated by the Tokyo Whisky & Spirits Competition as equal to the 18-year Johnnie Walker and 18-year Balvenie. James Bay blends Highland and Speyside whiskies for this release, with notes of pear, butterscotch and salted caramel. James Bay's scotch is blended under a permit from His Majesty's Revenue & Customs Office.
- Strait Up Killer Vodka, so named for the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Puget Sound's killer whales, is 90% corn and 10% wheat. Rated by Wine Enthusiast as "1 of top 9" vodkas in the US and "1 of top 100 spirits" in 2022. This neutral sipping vodka has been described by Russian visitors to the distillery as "better than what we have in Moscow."
- Galloping Goose Canadian Whiskies, both the red-label "Red Goose" 3-year bourbon mash bill and the blue-label "Blue Goose" release which is finished 5 additional years in 11-year Martel cognac casks. The red label holds a 97-point gold medal from PROOF in Las Vegas and six other gold medals. The blue label holds a 96-point gold medal from the California craft distillers competition, a "Best in Class" award and the same awards in New York as Buffalo Trace, Uncle Nearest, Garrison Brothers and others.
- James Bay Berry & Ube Gin, the first gin in the world to feature Pacific Island ube. This gin also includes bilberries, honey-berries, black currants, Saskatoon berries, wild-harvested Oregon grape berries and the ube with it's vanilla and pistachio notes.
The direct-to-consumer sales site (see link) is powered by collaboration with a licensed reseller in Van Nuys, CA. Product shipments to consumers will originate from Van Nuys.
The company more generally distributes wholesale in California through Liberation Distribution, "LibDib." Interested liquor stores, resellers and others with California liquor permits can contact James Bay directly or select products from LibDib's website.
The company separately ships directly within Washington State and to Washington DC from their own DTC sales site.
