HACIEN Tequila Opens Crowdfunding as It Bids to Own Premium Flavoured Tequila

UK's first 100% agave flavoured tequila invites trade and consumers to invest as it targets a £1.25bn market.

HACIEN Tequila has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Republic Europe, as the brand accelerates its mission to lead a new global spirits category: premium, 100% agave, flavoured tequila.

The brand, already stocked in over 350 UK venues including Harvey Nichols, Michelin-starred restaurants and top 50 bars, has delivered 10x e-commerce growth between 2025 and 2026 and picked up a string of accolades, including Tequila & Mezcal Masters 2026.

Built on a super-smooth 100% agave Blanco, crafted at Jalisco's most awarded distillery, HACIEN's four flavoured expressions, including Pineapple, Lemon & Lime, Coffee and Summer Berries, are designed to capture the growing wave of consumers seeking something new and exciting within tequila—the same flavour-led revolution that transformed gin and vodka, now arriving in the premium tequila category.

Tequila is now the UK's fastest-growing major spirit, with the market projected to reach £1.25 billion by 2035. Yet premium flavour innovation has remained largely absent from the category, a gap HACIEN was built to fill.

Seb Francis, Founder of HACIEN Tequila, said: “We believe tequila is having its gin moment, and just like gin, flavour is going to be the fuel that drives the next decade of growth. We've built HACIEN from the ground up to lead that charge. With authentic 100% agave foundations, serious distillery credentials, and flavours that honour traditions. Now we're opening the doors so the people who believe in this category can be part of building it.”

Having raised £800,000 to date, including significant founder investment, the funds raised through Republic Europe will be deployed across brand and e-commerce growth, UK distribution, international expansion—including a confirmed listing with UAE premium retailer Spinneys—as well as inventory to meet accelerating demand.

The brand has already made its mark beyond the bar: HACIEN has featured at official afterparties for the Monaco F1, Sony Music Brit Awards, and the MTV VMAs.
