Himvana Expands Himalayan Herbal Tea Range With Botanical Blends
PRESS RELEASE posted by Himvana
MANALI, HIMACHAL PRADESH, INDIA – AUGUST 2026 – Himalayan herbal tea brand Himvana is expanding its range of botanical beverages with blends that combine Himalayan nettle with familiar fruits, flowers and spices.
The product development reflects growing interest in herbal infusions that offer consumers alternatives to conventional tea and coffee while introducing lesser-known Himalayan ingredients in more familiar flavour combinations.
At the centre of Himvana's range is Urtica himalayensis, a nettle species associated with Himalayan environments. The dried leaves can be prepared as a herbal infusion and are naturally caffeine-free when used without conventional tea leaves.
Rather than relying only on the earthy character of nettle, Himvana's newer blends pair the botanical with ingredients that offer different aromas and flavour profiles. The range includes combinations featuring hibiscus, chamomile, butterfly pea flower, mango, apple and cinnamon.
The approach gives consumers an opportunity to explore Himalayan nettle while choosing flavours that may be more familiar to those new to herbal tea.
“Introducing Himalayan botanicals through approachable tea blends can make it easier for consumers to discover ingredients they may not have encountered before,” said a Himvana spokesperson. “The intention is to retain the identity of the Himalayan ingredient while offering different ways to enjoy it.”
Himvana's product development also places emphasis on the distinction between herbal tea and conventional tea. While black, green and white teas are produced from Camellia sinensis, a pure nettle infusion does not contain the naturally occurring caffeine associated with that plant.
The company also publishes educational information about Urtica himalayensis, including its Himalayan background and differences from Urtica dioica, the species commonly known as stinging nettle.
Himvana notes that scientific research concerning nettles has frequently focused on species other than Urtica himalayensis. As a result, the company encourages consumers to distinguish between traditional uses, research involving other nettle species and evidence specifically relating to Himalayan nettle.
The expanded range is part of Himvana's broader focus on Himalayan botanicals and herbal beverages. The company aims to introduce regional plant ingredients to a wider audience while maintaining attention on their botanical identity and origins.
As consumers continue to explore caffeine-free and plant-based beverage choices, Himalayan nettle provides an example of how a traditional botanical can be presented in contemporary formats without losing its connection to the region from which it originates.
