Organic ingredient specialist DO IT Organic now combines more than 35 years of sourcing expertise with U.S.-based inventory, local commercial expertise and a global network of USDA Organic certified ingredients.

CHICAGO, Ill. and BARNEVELD, Netherlands, Oct. 27, 2026 – DO IT Organic is expanding its North American operations, bringing its global sourcing network and more than 35 years of organic expertise closer to food businesses across the United States and Canada. With inventory positioned on both the East and West Coasts, locally based account managers and Joren Groot, President of DO IT Organic Inc., relocating to Chicago at the end of 2026 to lead regional growth, the company is strengthening its ability to serve customers across North America.

The expansion comes as demand for organic continues to grow. According to the Organic Trade Association's 2026 Organic Market Report, U.S. organic food sales reached $70.1 billion in 2025, up 6.9% year over year. Total sales of certified organic products reached $76.6 billion.

Global sourcing, closer to North American customers

DO IT Organic supplies food manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and foodservice businesses with high-quality organic ingredients sourced from producers around the world, including nuts, seeds, cocoa, pulses and dried fruits. Its expanded North American presence combines this international sourcing expertise with local inventory and regional account management, providing customers with reliable access to a broad portfolio of USDA Organic certified ingredients.

Built over more than 35 years, DO IT Organic’s international sourcing network is one of its key strengths. The company carefully selects its suppliers and ingredients, supported by audits, product analyses and quality controls throughout the sourcing process. Many of its long-term suppliers already offer products certified for both the European and U.S. organic markets. DO IT Organic can build on these established supply chains to serve customers in Europe while further strengthening its service across North America through its expanded local presence.

“We are not starting from scratch,” says Hendrik Wijnen, CEO of DO IT Organic. “We have already been doing business in the U.S. for the past two years and building our understanding of the market. By establishing a local presence, we can build on our long-standing partnerships, bring our sourcing expertise closer to North American food businesses and create new opportunities for both customers and producers.”

Local presence, coast-to-coast reach

With inventory positioned on both the East and West Coasts and a local commercial team, DO IT Organic is bringing its products and service closer to North American customers. Chicago will serve as the company's commercial base for developing customer relationships and supporting further growth across the region.

“Local presence matters,” says Joren Groot, President of DO IT Organic Inc. “Being in the U.S. means we can work more closely with our current and new customers, better understand their needs and supply them with organic food ingredients with shorter lead times from our U.S. warehouses. This allows us to offer the reliability of an established international partner with the responsiveness of a local supplier.”

DO IT Organic specializes exclusively in organic ingredients and combines its international sourcing network with quality control, customer service and supply chain expertise. Its broad portfolio of USDA Organic certified ingredients serves a wide range of applications and customer needs across the North American food market.

Growing alongside North American customers

Over the next three to five years, DO IT Organic plans to further expand its local team and commercial capabilities as its North American customer base grows. The company aims to strengthen relationships across its international supplier network while creating new opportunities for customers and producers on both sides of the Atlantic.

“Our ambition is to become a leading partner for food businesses looking for high-quality organic ingredients,” says Joren Groot. “We combine local availability and market knowledge with the reach of an international sourcing network. That gives our customers access to a broad portfolio, competitive sourcing options and a partner focused on their long-term needs.”

The North American expansion supports DO IT Organic's wider mission to accelerate the transition from conventional to organic agriculture. By making certified organic ingredients more accessible to food manufacturers, packers and distributors in North America, the company aims to contribute to the continued growth of organic agriculture in North America and beyond.

About DO IT Organic

Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Barneveld, the Netherlands, DO IT Organic specializes in 100% organic food ingredients. The company works with producers and food businesses worldwide, supported by an international sourcing network and supply chain expertise. Its portfolio also includes the consumer brands Amaizin and La Bio Idea, as well as private-label packing services for the European market. DO IT Organic's vision is to make organic food the norm.
