BevNET/NOSH Cannabis Forum: Evo Hemp Founders Talk Opportunity and Execution

From the beginnings of the medical marijuana movement through to its full legalization, Evo Hemp co-founders Jourdan Samel and Ari Sherman have borne witness to, as the name of their company suggests, a rapidly evolving marketplace for hemp and cannabis-based consumer goods in their home state of Colorado.
As such, the pair are ideally suited to help guide emerging food and beverage brands and entrepreneurs towards sustainable success in the cannabis industry. In this clip from the BevNET/NOSH Cannabis Forum for Food and Beverage, held in Santa Monica, Calif. on Dec. 1, 2018, Samel and Sherman shared insights from their personal journey building Evo Hemp into one of the leaders of the hemp-as-an-ingredient movement. The co-founders discuss why they chose to initially focus on hemp’s nutritional benefits, the brand’s gradual expansion into a broad range of hemp-based products, and how it is using a combination of online educational content and brick-and-mortar retail experiences to bring new consumers into the category.
