Speaker 1 [00:04] Hey folks, it's Ray with Taste Radio. Right now, I'm joined by Michael Flemmens, who is the vice president of technical Business Development for SoRSE Technology. Michael, how are you?

Speaker 2 [00:14] Great, I'm great. Thanks for having me.

Speaker 1 [00:16] Thank you so much for joining me today. Uh, let's talk about SoRSE Technology. Uh, I think there are a few folks who are listening who are probably familiar with the company. For those who are not, talk a little bit about the brand.

Speaker 2 [00:29] So. SoRSE as a company is essentially a delivery system for functional ingredients. We are at our core, a technology company that develops platforms to help folks work with materials of interest that are either challenging from a compatibility standpoint or from a sensory perspective.

Speaker 1 [00:52] And SoRSE Technology's primary focus is on cannabinoids, particularly CBD.

Speaker 2 [00:57] Correct, the foundation of the company was around cannabinoids of interest. Initially it was THC, uh, also now CBD as well. All the isomers, whether CBN or CBB, um, along with the few of the associated terpenes and materials that are part of either the hemp or cannabis plant. Um, that being said, we're also able to leverage our technology platform for other materials of interest, uh, in many cases, things like adaptogens, whether it be ashwagandha or moringa or things like that. Anything that is essentially is an issue from a compatibility or sensory.

Speaker 1 [01:37] Now Michael, CBD and other cannabinoids have been ingredients of interest to the food and beverage industry for some time now. Uh, and as a result, we're seeing new sourcing partners, new CBD and cannabinoid suppliers come to market. Um, I'm wondering, You know, what makes SoRSE Technology so differentiated from its competition? Why should food and beverage brands stand up and take notice of what you guys are doing?

Speaker 2 [02:02] Sources the company takes a great deal of pride in attempting to be first in class. So what does first in class mean for us? First in class means that we provide a product to our customers that is safe and efficacious. Uh, safety is paramount concern when you're allowing people to ingest the product. So knowing that your materials are made with food grade or better materials in a food grade or better manufacturing facilities. And are tested to the highest degree of of standards, that is, that should be paramount concern for every person supplying into the cannabinoid market. Second of all, is, is when you look at regulatory compliance and analytical support, are you able to test and verify the compounds and the materials you're making? Are we mitigating, for those folks that are interested in resolving some of the off-century attributes that are associated with cannabinoids? Uh, what is the ease of application or the ease of use for our customers. So in all attributes, I think we're striving to look at this as a, a first in class business, first in class in safety and quality, and consistency and repeatability and dosage. Dosage is an incredibly important thing for the cannabis market because many, many, uh, manufacturers will attribute a label claim to their product on how many milligrams of Material are in there, and we want to make sure that each and every can from the first can to the last, um, and from one run to the next, all contain exactly what the label claim means. So I think striving to hit all of those pillars is of paramount importance for us.

Speaker 1 [03:46] Now, SoRSE has introduced a new technology that's really exciting, uh, it's specifically for beverages. Can you talk about what it is and why it's such a breakthrough for the industry?

Speaker 2 [03:56] Yeah, sir, we're, we're, we're super excited about it. We've, we've recently launched a version of our clear emulsification process or product. Um, the material is essentially water clear, but still contains the cannabinoids of interest. Now, there are other products that are touted to be clear emulsions, but there are some mitigating factors many times, whether it's a sensory attribute or a manufacturing scale issue. That are limiting in capacity. We've developed a system that scales to meet the largest of the commercial demands, and does the best job that we can at mitigating some of the off-sensory attributes that our people are concerned about with cannabinoids, all the while being able to provide a water clear beverage.

Speaker 1 [04:45] So Michael, this has been really informative. Thank you so much for taking the time to be with me today. For folks who are listening and want to learn more about SoRSE Technology and what you guys do, what's the best way to do so?
