Q DRINKS SENDS CASE OF SUPERIOR SODA TO MAYOR BLOOMBERG TO SHOW HIM NOT ALL SODAS ARE 64 OUNCES AND LOADED WITH HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP.
BROOKLYN, NY — On the day Mayor Bloomberg formally submitted his proposal to ban large, sugar-laden sodas, the Brooklyn-based carbonated crusaders that created Q Tonic, Q Ginger, Q Club, and Q Kola sent him case of their superior sodas in order to show him that soda can be both relatively healthy and great tasting.
Jordan Silbert, Founder of Q Drinks, explains: ““Soda” should not a dirty word. It can taste great and be relatively healthy. It’s just that the big soda companies are choosing not to make it that way. I set out to make the world’s best tasting sodas. But in so doing, I also made sodas that are drastically healthier and lower calorie than the factory sodas. That’s because we use just a dash of organic agave to lightly sweeten our sodas, not loads of High Fructose Corn Syrup or sugar. Then we use real ingredients, not “natural and artificial flavors,” and just an 8 oz. glass bottle – no 64 oz. big gulps for us.”
Q Drinks currently makes four different beverages: Q Tonic, Q Ginger, Q Kola, and Q Club, a superior tonic water, ginger ale, cola and club soda. Each is different than the factory sodas Mayor Bloomberg wants to ban New York City stores from selling. That’s because we make them differently, with real ingredients in smaller bottles. As a result, each Q drink has many fewer calories, tastes sharper and cleaner, and is great on its own as well as a terrific match for top shelf spirits.
Q drinks are available throughout New York City and nationwide, at thousands of top retailers and restaurants.
About Q Drinks
Q Drinks makes the world’s best sodas – clean, crisp, completely ungeneric beverages that stand proudly on their own or enhance the finest spirits. We use the best ingredients we can find, irrespective of cost or complexity, and then agonize over our recipes to make sure each 8oz bottle of Q has balance, depth, and complexity. Our superior sodas are perfect on their own and good enough to mix with the best spirits. And so good that they’ll change the way you think about soda.
