BevNET Review: Citrus is the third flavor to be added to the Crunk Energy Drink lineup. They seem to have intentionally kept it close to the style of the original drink in both flavor and style, so it's the type of product that will likely have appeal to consumers who are already in tune with the Crunk brand. Inside the can is a pleasant, moderately sweet citrus flavor, which has a CSD like body with only a hint of energy finish. They've kept it simple with the can design, essentially swapping the red hues of the flagship flavor with a greenish yellow. BevNET Review: Crunk!!!’s latest entry is a Mango Peach flavored entry that is much in the same style as the brand’s other flavors. First, the flavor, which has a moderately sweet mango and peach flavor that’s frighteningly accurate. That’s due in part to use of mango and peach juices, which create a natural tasting base for the added flavors. There’s a slight energy note to the drink’s finish, which lets you know that this isn’t just a CSD. On the functional front, the product has some kick to it, including 96 mg of caffeine per serving, and their energy cocktail includes a variety of traditional and non-traditional energy drink ingredients. Packaging is a 16 oz. can that looks extremely similar to the other Crunk!!! Flavors. In this case, they’ve placed the flavor name above the brand name (their standard template) and given the product a bright orange color. While it looks nice, tastes great, and has good caffeine kick to it, we wonder if Crunk!!! might need to do more to differentiate this product from the brand’s other flavors. BevNET Review: Crunk is a very unique tasting energy drink that uses a flavor that has previously been untapped in the energy drink category -- pomegranate. The flavor is quite good as it is tart and potent enough to cover any aftertaste that this drink may have had. With over a dozen ingredients, the energy formulation is quite extensive compared to many other products out there. As for the brand, the phrase "Crunk!!!" offers a unique call to action for all those who are familiar with the man behind this product -- Lil' Jon, a musician who is the self proclaimed "King of Crunk". Regardless of if you know him or not, the appeal to Crunk!!! is still there as its innocuous appearance (compared to the often offensive or misunderstood energy drink brands) certainly has the potential to attract consumers of all types.
