BevNET Review: If you like Diet Dr Pepper, you'll probably enjoy Diet Berries & Cream Dr Pepper -- at least enough to purchase it one or two times. It's a little sweeter and creamier than regular Diet Dr Pepper, and like the regular strength version it doesn't have the bite that you find in Diet Dr Pepper. Still, this product is definitely a cannibal, and we believe that Diet Berries & Cream Dr Pepper will fail to bring many new drinkers to this brand. Instead, it will likely be an alternative to existing Diet Dr Pepper drinkers who, in a best case scenario, drink more Diet Dr Pepper as a result of this new flavor. Reviewed on: 4/11/2006

BevNET Review: Dr Pepper's most recent flavor extension, Berries & Cream, is one of those flavors that is somewhat difficult to describe -- you really just have to taste it to truly understand what it's all about. Anyway, since it's our job to try and put it into words, we'll give it a shot. Start with Dr Pepper, but without the bite that you find in regular Dr Pepper's finish. Then add in a berry flavor. Something that's a little less sweet than cherry, but not that far off. Then add some creaminess. Again, something that's not as sweet as vanilla, but still adds some richness to the product. When all is said and done, this product's flavor is more or less a toned down version of Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper. The bright purple label is colorful, but doesn't make the product more appetizing. Overall, this product shows that Dr Pepper is following in Pepsi and Coke's cannibal footsteps. It's an okay product -- assuming you already like Dr Pepper (which we do). If not, this product will have novelty / curiosity appeal at best. A great brand like Dr Pepper deserves something a bit better than this.Reviewed on: 4/11/2006
