Review: Sentinel Citrus Vigilant Energy

Posted: Jul 20, 2006 at 12:00 AM (Last Updated: Feb 17, 2010 at 4:39 PM)
Technically speaking, this is the best product that Jump has come up with. Sentinel's lightly effervescent flavor is refreshing and enjoyable, with just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the flavor of the functional ingredients. Sweetened with ace-k and sucralose, the product has 0 calories and 0 carbs, but still maintains a natural tasting sweetness. Overall, the formulation of this product was quite enjoyable. On the outside of the can, there's some room for improvement. Specifically, the name of the product is very hard to read. It's in camouflage -- just like the rest of the can -- and outlined in white, which makes it especially hard to read in its vertical orientation. We would recommend changing the camouflage letters to something that's easier to read. Furthermore, we think that the bullet points, which are rather generic in nature, should be dropped entirely as they are not needed and clutter the design. If Jump can clean this packaging up, they've got some potential with this product.
