BevNET Review: This product uses two ingredients, Splenda and coffee, that were really not meant for one another. The reason is simple: aftertaste. Both of these ingredients have a very noticeable aftertaste and the Splenda accentuates the bitterness of the coffee. The splash of milk doesn't help much either, leaving you with a bitter aftertaste in your mouth. On the outside of the can, it's rather plain, with the Starbucks logo being the only detail of note. BevNET Review: Starbucks’ latest entry into the RTD iced coffee is designed to replicate the taste of iced coffee rather than a latte, as their Frappuccino line does. The 11 oz. can has less of a premium feel than that glass-packaged product, especially when considering its plain silver design. In addition, the name "Iced Coffee" sounds rather lowbrow in comparison to "Frappuccino.” On the inside of the can, this product is exactly what is promised on the outside -- Italian Roast coffee with milk and sugar. It's rather bitter, with a mild amount of milk and sweetness. Overall, it's a decent beverage, but it's not something that we're overly excited about given the bland packaging.Reviewed on: 9/15/2006
