BevNET Review: Sum Poosie is back in a new 16-ounce can. Aside from the change in packaging, they've also changed their story ("Poosie" is now the name of the creator's grandmother's cat) and polished up their image a bit. It's definitely an improvement over the original, but there are some questionable elements that remain (you'll figure them out). In addition, the girl on the side of the can is just plain blurry, which basically makes it a pointless addition. Sum Poosie's carbonated berry flavor, which was one of the few positives of the original, is still something that is enjoyable and, now that it's in an aluminum container, tastes more like a traditional energy drink. Overall, the new package is a major step forward for the brand, but there are still some severely limiting issues with this product that will result in it having a difficult time in traditional volume channels.Reviewed on: 6/7/2006

BevNET Review: We know what you are thinking -- why on earth did anyone come up with a product like this? Well, we have no idea either. Perhaps they are hoping that the novelty of how obnoxious this concept is will generate some sales. Regardless, we wouldn't be caught dead walking around with a product like this -- no matter how it tastes. It's a bit over the line and will have serious trouble getting retail locations aside from strip clubs to carry it. If you are still reading this after hearing about the packaging, then you might want to know how it tastes. Fortunately, Sum Poosie has a relatively pleasant flavor. It's basically a carbonated berry taste that we'd almost compare to Kool-Aid. Overall, the product tastes good, but the brand is over the top. Try at your own risk.Reviewed on: 6/7/2006
