The ready-to-drink spirits space saw a wide range of innovation this month from a supergrain alcohol-based Paloma from Crook & Marker to a sake-based cocktail from singer Jay Sean. Check out the gallery for the latest brand debuts, cocktail launches and updated formats.
CANTEEN Spirits
Cocktail company CANTEEN Spirits expanded its portfolio with a Gin Spritz this month. This is gin-based drink is Canteens first extension past vodka and tequila-based RTDs and it comes in three flavors: Blossom (hibiscus, lime and juniper), Citrus (lemon, lime, cucumber and juniper) and Ruby (grapefruit and rosemary). Gin Spritz contains 99 calories and no sugar in each 12 oz. can and is available in a variety 6-pack for a suggested retail price between $9.99 and $12.99, depending on the state.
Captain Morgan
Spiced rum maker Captain Morgan entered the ready to drink category with the debut of Captain’s Cocktails in three flavors: Tropical Punch, Mai Tai and Long Island Iced Tea. The new drinks are a permanent addition to Captain Morgan’s portfolio and are available nationwide and in Canada in 1.75 mL bottles (13-17% ABV) for a suggested retail price of $19.99.
Crook & Marker
Organic super grain alcohol brand Crook & Marker launched a zero sugar Paloma RTD cocktail in a Grapefruit Lime flavor this month. The tequila-based cocktails contain 100 calories and 1 gram of carbs in each 11.5 oz. can (5% ABV). Crook & Marker’s Palomas are available in a 8-packs for $17.99.
Smoothsail
Singer Jay Sean is one of the creators behind Smoothsail, a line of sparkling sake-based RTD cocktails in peach and berry flavors. The drinks contain no sugar and are sweetened with a blend of monk fruit and stevia extract. Smoothsail cocktails are available in a 4-pack for $19.96.
The Long Drink
The Finnish Long Drink brand introduced a variety pack featuring all four of its current varieties: Traditional, Zero, Cranberry and Strong. The variety pack will launch in Connecticut, Georgia, Nevada, Ohio, Texas and Massachusetts and expand for nationwide distribution by the end of 2021. The Long Drink 8-count variety pack is available for $16-19.
Lisco Spirits
Tequila seltzer brand Lisco Spirits debuted at select retailers across New York and New Jersey with a blanco tequila-based RTD cocktail. The cocktail contains sparkling water and fruit juice and comes in four flavors: Fresh Pineapple, Luscious Lime, Sweet Mango and Juicy Watermelon. Lisco Spirits’ cocktails contain 100 calories per 355 mL cans and are available in 4-packs and 8-packs.
Party Can
Party Can expanded its lineup of large format RTD cocktails with two new flavors this month: Cosmicpolitan and Gold Rush Old Fashioned. The new flavors are packaged in Party Can’s signature 1.75 L (12.5 % ABV) resealable cans and are available for $27.99 at select retailers.
NÜTRL
Canadian vodka seltzer brand NÜTRL made its debut in the U.S. market this month with its line of RTD cocktails with three flavors Raspberry, Watermelon and Pineapple. Each cocktail contains 100 calories in each 355 mL can (4.5% ABV) and is available at select retailers in Washington, Arizona, Idaho, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Delaware, New Jersey and New York.
