Summer Arrives with 6 New RTD Cocktails

Although summer solstice is still a ways away, the season has unofficially arrived in the form of seven new ready-to-drink cocktails and mocktails. In this gallery, we highlight the first-ever canned cocktail lines from Kraken Rum and New Amsterdam Vodka and several modern twists on classic drinks from Uncle Tim’s.

Kraken Rum

Kraken Rum splashed into the ready-to-drink category with the release of three canned cocktails: Kraken & Cola, Kraken & Ginger Beer and Kraken Rum Punch. All three varieties (5% ABV) are available in 4-packs as well as a variety of single-serve packs in select states for a suggested retail price of $12.99. New Amsterdam

Spirit of Gallo’s New Amsterdam Vodka is marking its entry into the ready-to-drink category with Wildcard, a vodka-based line of hard beverages. Available in three varieties – Original Hard Lemonade, Classic Hard Punch and Lemon Hard Tea – each 12 oz. can has 8% ABV. All three flavors are available in 4-packs for $18.99. Bizzarro

Australia-based Bizzarro Cocktails landed in the United States in the form of Bizzarro Spritz (12.75% ABV), a riff on the classic spritz cocktail, and Bizzaro & Mischief Brew Tonic (5% ABV), a modern twist on the Bengal Tonic. Both canned cocktails are crafted with a base of Bizzarro Aperitivo, a spirit made in small batches with organic Vermentino, oranges and lemons. Mangy Moose

Après-ski outdoor saloon Mangy Moose released its newest signature canned cocktail, Spicy Marg, just in time for summer. Crafted in collaboration with Backwards Distilling, the drink is infused with agave, fruits, jalapeño pepper and triple sec to combine sweetness with heat. Spritz Society

Spritz Society has released its first new flavor since the brand’s launch 10 months ago: Peach. The new variety was a collaboration between Spritz Society and its consumers, who were “instrumental” in choosing a new flavor, according to the brand. Uncle Tim’s

Uncle Tim’s Cocktails launched two tasting sets of RTD cocktails with renditions of the Negroni and the Manhattan. The former includes Classic Negroni, White Negroni and Boulevardier while the latter consists of Classic Manhattan, Midnight Manhattan, and Midnight Manhattan.
