Plum Deluxe and Strawberry Shortcake Bring Berry-Sweet Tea to Summer

Three dessert-inspired loose leaf blends and a set of collectible character tins, made with real fruit and no added sugar.

PORTLAND, Ore., June 20, 2026

Strawberry Shortcake is as iconic as ever, and Plum Deluxe is brewing a fresh way to experience her world. The Portland tea company has teamed up with WildBrain’s beloved Strawberry Shortcake on a licensed The World of Strawberry Shortcake™ collection that puts a little of that childhood sweetness into your afternoon cup. It launches today with three new tea blends and a matching set of collectible character tins. A few kitchen extras come along for the ride. The collaboration was brokered by WildBrain’s leading licensing agency, WildBrain CPLG.

Each tea flavor is tied to Strawberry Shortcake and her Berry Besties. The Strawberry Shortcake™ Black Tea is the one for mornings: a bold, full-bodied black tea with ripe strawberry and a touch of soft vanilla cake. Lemon Meringue™ Green Tea is lighter and citrusy, and it makes a lovely iced pitcher once the afternoon warms up. Blueberry Custard Creme is the caffeine-free pick, jammy with a creamy vanilla finish—the kind of thing you reach for after dinner. None of them have added sugar. The sweetness is all fruit, the way Plum Deluxe has always done it.

“Strawberry Shortcake was part of so many of our childhoods, and that slow, sweet afternoon feeling is exactly what we try to put in every cup,” said Andy Hayes, founder of Plum Deluxe. “I wanted something that feels like a treat you would hand to a friend, made with real fruit and real tea, in a tin you will actually want to keep long after the last cup.”

“Few brands have flavor as deeply ingrained in their DNA as Strawberry Shortcake, making her a natural fit for partnerships within the food and beverage space,” said Ben Peace, EVP Franchise at WildBrain. “With Plum Deluxe, we’ve found a partner whose focus on real ingredients and crafted experiences aligns beautifully with the heart of the brand, creating a sweet collection that lets fans experience a little piece of Strawberry’s world in every sip.”

Each tea is $8 an ounce, and an ounce brews 15 to 20 cups. You can buy a tea on its own or pair it with its matching tin for $15. The tins carry vintage-style art: Strawberry Shortcake™ with Custard the Cat, Blueberry Muffin™ with Cheesecake the Mouse, and Lemon Meringue™ with Frappe the Frog. Each one holds up to three ounces of loose leaf and is made to be refilled for years.

Want the whole set? The Berry Besties Bundle has all three teas and all three tins together for $42, which saves 12 percent. The collection also includes a cotton tea towel, buttery shortbread bites with a strawberry note baked in the Pacific Northwest, and a handmade strawberry lemonade mix made with real fruit, also produced by Plum Deluxe.
