Tentative Deal Reached to Avert Railroad Strike

A tentative deal between the remaining two railroad worker unions and the rail carriers has been reached. Early Thursday morning, U.S. Department of Labor Secretary Marty Walsh tweeted that ”a tentative agreement that balances the needs of workers, businesses, and our nation’s economy” had been agreed upon by the rail companies and union negotiators.

CANarchy to be Sold to Monster Beverage Corporation in $330M Deal

Energy drink maker Monster Beverage has reached “a definitive agreement” to acquire the CANarchy Craft Brewery Collective for $330 million in cash, the company announced today. The all cash deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022, pending “customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.”

ReserveBar to Acquire Minibar Delivery

A pair of beverage alcohol e-commerce platforms are merging. E-commerce luxury spirits platform ReserveBar announced today that it will acquire Minibar Delivery, a marketplace that offers on-demand delivery of beer, wine and spirits. The transaction is expected to close this week. The companies declined to disclose a sale price.
