Califia Farms: Chocolate Protein Almondmilk

Califia Farms’ Chocolate Protein Almondmilk is one of the company's more unique offerings, starting with the fact that it contains added milk protein isolate. While the beverage is lactose-free, it is not vegan, unlike Califia Farms' other product lines. From a taste perspective, it definitely has a leg up on many other protein drinks that we’ve sampled. The subtle almond backdrop is very enjoyable, while a very mild amount of sweetness (13g of sugars) nicely complements the smooth cocoa flavor. And honestly, forgetting about the protein, we could definitely see ourselves wanting to consume this product just for taste alone. However, as a protein drink, 8g of protein is definitely on the light side. Visually, the product feels clean and polished, with a design style that feels like a sibling of the dairy category. Overall, a very nice addition to Califia Farms' lineup.
