Califia Farms: Holiday Nog

Califia Farms’ “Holiday Nog” is certainly one of the more unique tasting holiday beverages that we’ve seen lately. Made with the company's base almond milk, which is both soy and dairy-free, the product is then lightly sweetened with sugar and flavored with something that certainly tastes like a “holiday” flavor. We’re not sure that we’d call it an exact replica of eggnog, but it’s a close enough cousin that “holiday nog” makes for an accurate descriptor of it. Honestly, the only thing that we’re not overly fond of is the aroma -- there’s something a little strange about it. Otherwise, the product is quite enjoyable. Visually, there’s no mistaking this product as a holiday offering. It has a wreath design wrapped around the logo, while the name should give the consumer a sufficient clue as to what the flavor is. Beyond that, we are still big fans of the bottle design. It definitely looks more polished and sophisticated than pretty much all of the competition in the almond milk space. Overall, we’d probably stick with one of Califia Farms’ regular flavors, but this one is certainly innovative and enjoyable for a change of pace.
