ChanTea: Lemon

Blending green tea, aloe vera juice, and lemon, the Green Tea & Aloe Vera Lemon flavor of ChanTea is their most mainstream tasting flavor to date. The aloe vera flavor takes a backseat to the tea and lemon, which makes this drink taste more like green tea with lemon than an aloe vera drink. Honestly, if it weren’t for the aloe vera pulp, you could probably miss the presence of aloe vera altogether. Whether this is a good or bad thing is ultimately a matter of preference, but it definitely seems like a great place for consumers who are new to the concept to start. Packaging is still the weakest area for this brand, with the current design lacking clarity and polish. The front panel, which features the Chan Tea logo running vertically, feels unfinished and lacks visual connection with the rest of the package design. The graphic of the lemon is nice, but if they could consolidate it with the “Green Tea Infusion” graphic and perhaps add a visual for aloe, it might make it more clear as to what is actually inside the bottle. Overall, we think that what’s inside the bottle is great, but a new approach to the visual presentation would make this drink more appealing.
