Dave's Coffee: Madagascar Vanilla

Building on the same base flavor and formulation as their flagship Coffee Syrup, Dave’s Madagascar Vanilla flavored coffee syrup adds, you guessed it, Madagascar vanilla bean to the mix. Vanilla bean has a pretty potent flavor, which is definitely accentuated by the coffee and sugar flavors in the mix. That said, it seems as though this stuff has a bit too much vanilla. However, we really do appreciate that it’s from vanilla bean rather than flavoring -- it’s definitely top notch vanilla flavor (albeit too much of it). Otherwise, our feeling on this flavor is largely the same as the other variety: not enough coffee taste. Visually, we still really like the look, but the difference between the vanilla and original flavors is subtle and easy to overlook. Overall, we think that this is the start of something that, with some refinement, could be a really great offering.
