Forager currently offers both a Sweetened and an Unsweetened variety of its HPP Cashewmilk. However, the differences are honestly somewhat nuanced in that even the Sweetened variety is barely sweet. So, we’re taking a look at this flavor exclusively. It’s made with water, cashews, dates (for sweetness), fenugreek, konjac (presumably to help with thickness) and sea salt. As we mentioned before, this product’s sweetness is very minimal and the product has only 3g of sugar per 8 oz. serving. In reality, this is nothing more than something that takes the edge off of what is otherwise just plain cashewmilk. From our perspective, we think that it might be better to have one plain variety -- or widen the sweetness gap between the two. But truly, we really like this product and the formulation that Forager has created. Visually, the large 28 oz. bottle definitely stands out. The white backdrop with images of cashews is a nice use of the large label real estate and it catches the eye. Otherwise, the label does a nice job of describing the product and telling the consumer what’s in it. Perhaps the only thing that we’d change would be further clarification of the “Pour it on!” badge. Overall, a well-executed product that’s definitely one of the best tasting nut milks that we’ve sampled.
