BevNET Review
The Peppermint variety of Harmless Harvest’s 100% Raw Tea is made with water, organic peppermint leaves, organic tea leaves and agave. Like the other flavors, this product uses raw (as opposed to dried) tea leaves that are cold-steeped and is high pressure processed. This gives the product a very fresh and “raw” taste with a flavor that’s definitely unlike any tea that we’ve ever had. It’s earthy and green, but much smoother and less bitter than a bottle of pure green tea (which is probably the closest point of reference to traditional bottled tea). As for this particular flavor, the addition of peppermint and agave give the product more depth than the other two flavors. This iteration of the product has more mint flavor, a slightly more pronounced level of sweetness (the company switched sweeteners from honey to agave) and a less grassy tea flavor. All of these things make the product more enjoyable and should help with its overall marketability. Packaging for the product is a 10 oz. plastic bottle, which, in the most recent version, has been given a newly designed dark green label. Rather than looking identical to Harmless Harvest’s coconut water line (as the first round of its Raw Tea products did), this new look makes it look more like a cousin or complementary product. That, combined with the cleaner and more polished look and the execution of the design, definitely makes this product seem that much better. Plus, it alleviates our previous concern about the color of the cap. Overall, Harmless Harvest’s Peppermint flavored 100% Raw Tea is an exceptional product.
