INVO Coconut Water: Coconut Water with Pineapple

This variety of Invo blends coconut water, pineapple juice and lime juice and, like its “Pure” counterpart, is high pressure processed (HPP) rather than pasteurized. Like other HPP beverages, this product has a very fresh flavor and the fruit flavors more closely resemble what you’d experience if eating those fruits raw. As for the blend of flavors, the sweetness of the pineapple and the tartness of the lime are definitely a nice complement to the base coconut water flavor. The company has achieved a nice balance of the pineapple and lime flavors, although the coconut water definitely feels a bit lost in the shuffle. Nevertheless, we appreciate that they’ve added a second flavor, and this is one of only a few HPP coconut water and fruit juice blends that we’ve seen on the market to date. Visually, we’ll build upon what we said about the “Pure” flavor (we have a similar feeling on this one) by saying that there needs to be a bit more visual differentiation between the two flavors. In their current form, you have to look very closely to avoid picking the wrong one. Overall, an enjoyable product, although we would like more coconut water flavor and greater visual differentiation.
