For some reason that we cannot articulate, we picked this flavor first as it had the most appealing sounding flavor. The wordy names, which are buried in small type at the bottom of the bottle, are somewhat difficult to distinguish. Even the color palate that they've used to distinguish the varieties isn't terribly broad. The little bottle feels cute, but it didn't really spark curiosity. The flavor, on the other hand, is something you will not soon forget. The base of this product is fermented tea (aka "Kombucha") which has a flavor that tastes spoiled or rotten. There's a mild fruit sweetness, but it doesn’t cover the flavor of the fermented tea. Plus, there's a nasty aftertaste that is very difficult to get out of your mouth. Overall, we didn't think too highly of this product. It seems like the type of product that will appeal to a natural/health consumer who believes that this fermented taste must mean that it's good for you. Otherwise Kombucha Wonder Drink's Asian Pear Ginger is not a pleasant beverage to drink in its current form. Our suggestion would be to increase the ginger and pear flavors to wash out the fermented flavor. Until then, this is a very niche product.
