Like most things, MissionRoot started with my mom, an Indian classical dancer, Sanskrit scholar, and a stereotypical Indian mother. Growing up as a first generation Indian American, I never wanted to eat the colorful dishes my mom created night after night. Even though the aromas of exotic herbs and spices were intoxicating, I played the role of an American teenager opting for fast food or frozen pizza. It wasn’t until I was in college when I realized the amazing power and flavor of the ingredients my mom, and millions of moms across India, uses every single day. With the help of amazing chef and co-creator Barr Hogen, we developed MissionRoot, the first line of "Ayurvedic Refreshments". Our goal is simple: bring the goodness of Ayurveda from India to the rest of the world.
