Project Juice: Turmeric Mylk

Project Juices Turmeric Mylk is a blend of raw almonds, sea salt, vanilla bean, dates, water, turmeric, cardamom and cinnamon. The product starts out with a lightly sweetened vanilla flavor, which is definitely pleasing to the palate from start to finish. There is some light grit to the flavor, which adds to the artisanal charm of this handmade product. From there, the spices take over, with the turmeric and cinnamon providing a nice finish to the drink (and the yellowish color to the liquid). All in all, we like this unique spin on almond milk; it's one of the more unusual flavor combinations that we've tried. In terms of branding and packaging, we like the slightly smaller 14.75 oz. bottle that the company has chosen (most of the competition comes in a 16 oz. size). It should allow the product to be at a slightly lower price and calorie profile. Additionally, we really like the look and feel of the brand. It appears handmade, but professional and polished -- a definite plus for a raw product. Overall, a very enjoyable offering from Project Juice.
