As clear protein has opened the doors of possibility for functional beverage innovation, category-blurring brand Protein2o believes it was ahead of its time. Now, the brand is looking to seize the moment with P2X, a new premium “Advanced Hydration” line, launching this month in Target stores.
Now touting over $60 million in annual retail dollar sales, “clear protein hydration” producer Protein2o has welcomed in Chris Pruneda as the company’s new CEO, alongside several other executive appointments.
On the heels of its rebrand and reformulation earlier this year, Protein2o is rolling out to 1,400 Target stores nationwide. The mass retail chain will carry the brand’s protein hydration drinks in Strawberry Watermelon and Orange Mango flavors. Additionally, Target will exclusively offer Protein2o’s newest flavor, Lemon Lime.
Functional beverage brand Protein2O is getting a fresh new look next month as it prepares to roll out a rebrand and reformulation across its product lines. The 12-year-old business will introduce its new label on February 1, designed by branding firm Safari Sundays.
