Purity Organic Juices: Pomegranate & Blueberry Plus

As far as Purity Organic’s line goes, Pomegranate & Blueberry Plus is by far the most complex and ambitious of the bunch. Not only is it a vitamin enhanced flavor (hence the “Plus”), but they’ve also taken away in the sense that this product is watered down to keep the calories at 60 per 8 ounce serving. While it’s an interesting way to take Purity into the functional space, the “Plus” takes away from the simplicity and wholesomeness of the other flavors. However, we definitely understand why someone would buy a reduced-calorie product, although we are left feeling like this product’s fruit flavor isn’t up to the high standard that has been set by the others. In fairness, this is all really nit picking -- compared to the countless other products that this flavor competes with, it’s still extremely good. It just doesn’t feel like a product, from both a flavor and positioning point of view, that fits with the others. Overall, a good effort, but it still needs work to fit with the others.
