Review: Holla Pina

The Holla Pina variety of Rawpothecary is a blend of celery, spinach, parsley, pineapple and jalapeno. While it is indeed sweet and spicy, it’s not overly so, which is, at least in our opinion, a good thing. There’s a pretty heavy dose of celery and spinach in this flavor, which certainly gives it some potency and credibility as a green juice. The spice of the jalapeno is certainly stronger than the sweetness of the pineapple, but both are welcome additions. All in all, it’s a green juice that’s definitely of very high quality, but it doesn’t stand out that much from the competition. One thing that’s also quite confusing is the product’s tagline of “the pulp and skin are in.” There does not appear to be any pulp or skin in this product (it has 0g of fiber, which wouldn’t be the case) -- it appears to be just a regular cold-pressed juice. Clarifying this would be nice. Otherwise, we like the branding and clean design of the company's 14.5 oz. plastic bottle. Overall, this is definitely a nice tasting product, but it feels a bit commoditized.
