Sipp: Ginger Blossom

Sipp, whose tagline is "sparkling eco beverage," is currently available in one flavor: Ginger Blossom. While it's not not really clear what the "eco beverage" aspect of this drink is referring to, the flavor of Ginger Blossom is extremely well executed. With only six ingredients, including carbonated water, agave, ginger, vanilla, citric acid, and lime, it's a great example of quality ingredients producing a quality product. It drinks very smooth, with a light hit of ginger that is balanced out by the vanilla, while the lime and agave hit your tongue on the way out. The formulation is moderately sweet, but not too sweet, with a 12 oz. serving clocking in at a modest 128 calories. We really like the look of the bottle, which is a stock 12 oz. bottle that they've affixed a paper label to. It fits with the style of the product almost perfectly, delivering a simple, but clean look that gives the product an artisanal appearance. However, we don't like the "eco beverage" tagline — just call it what it is: soda. Overall, regardless of its positioning, Sipp Ginger Blossom is a top notch carbonated soft drink that's definitely worth a try.
