Our roots traceback to the poetic ballads, or corridos, sung by daring smugglers during the Prohibition era, risking all to share the soul-stirring elixir of tequila in borderland regions. These corridos weren't just songs; they were anthems of triumph and tales of everyday people, echoing through trails and around campfires. Dating back to the late 1800s, corridos became a powerful voice for the voiceless, written from the perspective of el pueblo—the everyday people who lived these tales. Our late founder immersed himself in the spirit of these ballads. He set out to build a tequila that celebrates the time-honored traditions and stories of the past—weavingeach bottle with a timeless melody. Each harvest starts with the finest Blue Weber agave handpicked from the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Picked for maximum maturity and sugar content, our agave piñas are carefully cooked in low pressure autoclaves. The sugars from the agave dance with our proprietary, 100 percent all-natural yeast to produce the base nectar, which is then double distilled. As one of only a few tequilas certified additive free, our refined, double-distilled approach and precise barrel aging process ensures each batch is meticulously crafted every time.
