'tude juice: Ginger + Turmeric

The ‘tude line has both Ginger + Turmeric and the Ginger varieties, but we preferred this one over other. The two products are strikingly similar, with both using cold-pressed juice, HPP processing, having a similar orange accent color, and even tasting almost the same. The base flavor is very much an apple juice, while the ginger and turmeric flavors are very subtle. Honestly, if the company could dial up both of these flavors, we’d like them more -- surely the heat of ginger and spice of turmeric would be a welcome addition. In the meantime, the product has a very mainstream-oriented flavor that’s sweet and full of apple flavor. Nutritionally, the product has 180 calories and 39g of sugar, albeit from the apples rather than added sugar. Again, we think that dialing up the ginger flavor -- or further cutting it with something that’s not so sweet -- would help this product win over more adult consumers. On the outside, we’re pleased to see the 12 oz. format versus the brand's original 16 oz.bottle. The white label definitely gives the product a somewhat minimalist vibe, which ties in nicely with the the ‘tude brand. Overall, it’s a good product, although we definitely feel as though there would be a bigger market for this product if the flavors were a bit more balanced.
