ALLENTOWN, PA – Liberty Imports USA, Inc., has announced that the RJ Group will manage its Brazil Gourmet drink lines in the natural food, specialty food and drug store channels nationwide. The Ridgewood, N.J.-based group will also represent Brazil Gourmet Nectars and Nectar Teas in foodservice outlets east of the Mississippi.
“We are delighted to have one of the food industry’s top brand management firms representing our products,” said Liberty Import’s Simone Anewalt. She said the RJ Group “will use its resources and expertise to ramp up distribution and manage broker and distribution systems for Brazil Gourmet in natural and specialty food stores, drug chain and food service outlets. We’re excited to have them on board.”
The new partnership follows the successful launch of Brazil Gourmet’s new nectar-flavored teas last May. The domestically produced nectar teas are available in 16-ounce textured glass bottles and four tropical flavors: Mango, Guava, Passion Fruit, and Mango-Passion Light. Suggested retail price for the 16-ounce bottle is $1.69. They contain no preservatives, no artificial colors and are fortified with vitamins A, C and E. The nectar teas are sweetened with natural cane sugar, with the exception of low-calorie Mango-Passion Light.
And now they’re kosher, too. Liberty Imports, Inc., has announced that its Brazil Gourmet Nectar Teas have been kosher-certified by the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America.
The products will bear the well-known “OU” symbol. “We are proud to have earned this symbol of purity for our products,” Anewalt said. “It means that our ingredients and facilities meet the highest standards.”
Brazil Gourmet Nectar Teas combine tropical fruit nectars with black and green teas. They cross traditional demographic lines and are aimed at consumers of all ages and backgrounds.
Brazil Gourmet beverages are sold at Costco and BJ’s wholesale clubs and at independent supermarkets in New York, Massachusetts, Maryland and New Jersey. New distributors are currently sought for California, New York, Texas, Florida, New England and metropolitan Chicago and Seattle.
