NHL replaces Pepsi with Coke

Food and beverage maker PepsiCo Inc. said on Monday that it signed a multiyear contract to exclusively supply its products to the National Hockey League.

Terms of the deal, which also includes exclusive marketing and promotional rights, were not disclosed.

PepsiCo said another key element of the deal makes its Gatorade brand the official sports drink of the NHL.

PepsiCo is the world’s No. 2 soft drink maker behind the Coca-Cola Co.

Shares of PepsiCo. rose 12 cents, or 0.2 percent, to $59.82 in midday trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
