SEATTLE, WA. (November 20, 2006) – Tully’s Coffee Corporation (Tully’s), the Pacific Northwest’s largest fully handcrafted coffee roaster, announces it will donate $18,000 to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer division of the American Cancer Society. The donation is the result of sales from signature items sold throughout the month of October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For every one pound bag of coffee sold, Tully’s donated $2. Additionally, 20 percent of net proceeds from the sale of Uncle Seth’s limited edition Auntie Sarah pink frosted cookies have been donated to breast cancer awareness programs. All Tully’s retail locations also carry Republic of Tea’s “Sip for the Cure” brand tea and Athena water, which donate net profits to finding a cure for breast cancer. Tully’s also provided coffee for all participants at Bellevue’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on October 15.
“Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women and, with the help of our customers, Tully’s is proud to be able to support the American Cancer Society,” said John Buller, president and CEO of Tully’s. “We hope that our donation of $18,000 will provide a small jolt in the search for a cure.”
