  • Bolthouse Farms has launched a flavored water brand called Aura. Target stores are expected to begin carrying the three-sku line in May, according to the company’s publicist, Kristin Hutton. Link


  • Skinny Water announced that they will be available at all 30 Genuardi’s store locations. Genuardi’s is part of the 1,200+ Safeway, Inc. national retail authorization. Link
  • Reyes Beverage Group announced on Feb. 10 that its subsidiary, Florida Distributing Co. LLC, has entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of Schenck Co. in Orlando. Link

  • The report ‘Gluten-Free Foods and Beverages in the U.S. 3rd Edition’ projects that U.S. sales of gluten-free foods and beverages will exceed $5 billion by 2015. Link

  • PepsiCo Inc. released its fourth-quarter results: it saw significant overall improvement in fourth-quarter and full-year 2010, as the full integration of the company’s major bottlers coincided with worldwide gains in the snack food and beverage segments. But it also reduced estimates for FY 2011. Link


  • The bottles for Weis Quality 24-pack 20 oz. bottled water are now made with 100 percent recycled PET plastic, making Weis Markets the first supermarket company in the country to offer this environmentally friendly bottle. Link
